Spartans Defeat Visiting Morgan
The Somers High School girls' lacrosse team got goals from eight different players.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Somers High School girls' lacrosse team defeated visiting Morgan 16-11.
Kristen Steidler led the way for Somers with five goals and three assists. Jess Olynciw had four goals, Katie Morrell had two goals and three assists, and Emily Dawson had one goal and two assists.
Sam Gay, Micalea Leaska, Meagan Hanna, and Emily Pruden each had one goal. Karen Trescott had three assists for the Spartans.
Jenna Jablonski made 12 saves for Somers.
Somers (2-1) travels to Ellington Friday.
