Somers Lacrosse Takes Down East Catholic

On Monday afternoon, the Somers High School girls lacrosse team defeated visiting East Catholic 18-8.

Kristen Steidler led the way with six goals and an assist. Micalea Leaska added four goals and two assists, and Jess Olynciw netted three.

Emily Pruden had a goal and two assists and Sam Gay had a goal and an assist.

Meagan Hanna, Katie Morell, and Darcy Anderson each found the back of the net.

Karen Trescott added two assists.

Jenna Jablonski made 12 saves for the Spartans.

Somers (5-6) will travel to RHAM on Wednesday. East Catholic (4-4) travels to Berlin on Tuesday.
