Ellington, Somers Little League Teams Fall on Tuesday
The Somers 11-12 year-old All-Star team was defeated by Tolland and the Ellington 10-11 year-old All-Star team was defeated by Thompsonville.
The Somers 11-12 year-old All-Star team fell 10-0 in five innings to Tolland.
Tolland scored two runs in the second, five runs in the fourth, and three runs in the fifth.
Jacob Simon and Dan Steiner combined to pitch a no-hitter and struck out 11 for Tolland (3-0).

Tolland had 13 hits including two each from Parker Ryan, Steiner, Cody Ouellette, Devin Aldrich, and Ted Elsner. One of Elsner's hits was a homerun.
Ethan Belisle pitched for Somers (1-2). Frankie Rinaldi played well defensively at shortstop in the loss.

Somers plays East Windsor on Wednesday.
10-11 All-Stars
The Ellington 10-11 year-old All-Star team fell to undefeated Thompsonville 8-4 on Tuesday.
For Thompsonville, Justin Ledger, Mike Tweedlie and Kyle Bak all pitched well for Thompsonville. Tweedlie picked up the win for Thompsonville.
Thompsonville (4-0) scored 6 runs in the top of the fifth with key hits from several players, including Leyden Brousseau, Tweedlie and Blake Nyswaner to name a few.
Nick Tshonas went 3-for-3 with two RBI to spark the offense for Ellington (2-2). Dakota Aldrich pitched well for Ellington.
