The Somers High School boys' soccer team picked up a 6-1 road victory in Enfield on Wednesday, thanks to five goals by Luke Alvaro.
Four of the goals came in the first half. Alvaro now has 12 goals in seven games.
Austin Ficara scored the other goal for the Spartans and also had an assist. Joe Pantuosco had two assists and Nick Murdza, Mike Dumas, and Nick Elia also had assists for Somers.
Tyler Griffith scored the lone goal for Enfield.
Kyle Trusch and Jeremy Ricard combined for three saves for the Spartans. Michael Knapp made nine saves for the Raiders.

Somers Coach Rick Kelley was very impressed with the leadership from Kyle Foster and Pantuosco, which helped elevate the team and ultimately set Alvaro up to score.
"As a coach, it was a beautiful game to watch," he said.
Somers (4-3) will host SMSA on Friday. Enfield (3-4) will travel to Avon on Thursday.
