The Town of Somers shared the following budget and town meeting announcement on its Facebook page. The town meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, in the Town Hall auditorium, 600 Main St.
The agenda is as follows:
1. To elect a moderator

2. To consider the annual budget for 2014-15 fiscal year as proposed by the Board of Finance, consisting of total revenues and expenditures of $29,898,933.
3. To set the date, time and place for the referendum by optical scan voting on the question of adopting the annual budget as proposed, selectmen recommending the referendum be conducted on May 20, 2014 between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., at the Town Hall Auditorium.
