Somers Man Charged With Sex Assault on Teen
Police said the man, 23, responded to an ad on Craig's List in which the teen said she was 19.
A Somers man allegedly had sex with a 13-year-old girl in Trumbull, Trumbull police said Tuesday.
Jonathan Drane, 23, of Root Road, turned himself in to on Monday on a warrant charging him with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, said Deputy Police Chief Michael Harry.
"On Aug. 23, Waterbury Police notified Trumbull police that a 13-year-old female was engaging in sexual relations with a 23-year-old male from Somers, CT. Because one of the encounters took place in Trumbull, this particular incident was referred to our jurisdiction," Harry said.

He was released on his promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court Oct. 17.
"The young girl placed an ad on Craig's List looking for a friendship. The young girl also stated her age as 19 years of age," Harry said.

The Connecticut Post newspaper reported that other police departments are also investigating this case.
