Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: Oct. 14-Oct. 20

Oct. 16

A juvenile male turned himself in at Troop C on an active arrest warrant issued by Rockville Court for an incident on Hoffman Road in Ellington. The accused was processed and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond with a Rockville Court date.  

On Oct. 16 at approximately 2:09 a.m., a suspect attempted to make forced entry into the on Stafford Road in Ellington. Anyone with information concerning a party seen in the area at this time is requested to contact the . The incident is under investigation.

Oct. 18

A Manchester woman was traveling northbound on Skinner Road in Vernon and entered the rotary to continue traveling northbound on Pinney Street after yielding to several vehicles. A Windsor Locks woman was traveling westbound on Windsorville Road and entered the rotary. The Windsor Locks woman failed to yield to the Manchester woman in the rotary to her left and subsequently struck the right side of the Manchester woman's vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The Windsor Locks woman and a passenger in her vehicle, a Hartford woman, were transported by to Rockville General Hospital for complaint of pain. The Windsor Locks woman was charged with failure to grant right of way to a vehicle in a rotary.

A Stafford woman was traveling westbound on route 190 west of Gulf Road in Somers. A Springfield, MA man unsafely attempted a U-turn and entered the westbound lane impacting, the Stafford woman's vehicle. There was minor damage and no injuries.
