Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: Jan. 18-Jan. 24

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police, are accurate as of Jan. 24, 2013. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

Jan. 18

Khary Davis, 34, of 140 Strawberry Ln. in Manchester, was transported from Osborn Correctional Institution to Rockville Superior Court so that an active arrest warrant could be served. Davis as placed under arrest on an active arrest warrant issued by the court for the charge of fugitive from justice. He was processed and held on a $75,000 bond set by the court. Davis was then turned back over to the state marshals to be presented to the court.

Bernard Franklin Goolsby, 50, of 167 Florida Rd. in Somers, was arrested on a PRAWN warrant that was issued out of Enfield Superior Court for the charge of second-degree failure to appear.

Keith B. Ricci, 43, of 54 Collins Rd. in Somers, was arrested after a trooper was assigned to investigate a reported violation of a Connecticut Judicial Protective Order, which was reported to have occurred at Joanna’s Café. Upon completing a thorough investigation into this reported complaint, the Ricci was subjected to an in-custody arrest for criminal violation of a protective order. He was later released from custody on a $500 surety bond.

Bruce W. Daniels, 60, of 160 Sokol Rd. in Somers, was arrested on a PRAWN warrant that was issued out of Hartford Superior Court for the charge of second-degree failure to appear. 

Jan. 20

A trooper was dispatched to 120 West Rd. - the Barn Yard - in Ellington to investigate a larceny complaint. Stolen was a catalytic converter that was cut from a 2012 Dodge 4500 pickup truck. This case will remain open pending further investigation.

Jan. 23

A 24-year-old Somers man was traveling south on Route 83 in Somers and while traveling behind a vehicle, lost control over her vehicle and struck a wooden lamppost off the roadway on private property. No injuries and moderate damages were reported. 

Jan. 24

Zachariah Sutherland, 22, of 200 George Wood Dr. in Somers, was arrested after troopers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at 118 Gulf Rd. in Somers. He was transported to Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford for treatment of minor injuries sustained from the collision. Upon investigation, it was determined that Sutherland was driving under the influence and was placed under arrest for operation under the influence of drugs/alcohol, failure to drive right, operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to carry a license, and failure to carry insurance. He was issued a $1,000 cash bond.
