Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: Dec. 9-Dec. 15

Dec. 11

Harry Waltman, 53, of 56 Newell Hill Rd. in Ellington, was arrested after police received several 911 calls of an erratic operator traveling east on Route 140 in Ellington. The vehicle was located, erratic operation was observed, and the vehicle was stopped. Subsequently, the operator of the vehicle, Waltman, was taken into custody for DWI, failure to maintain his lane, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Gina McCauley, 28, of 77 Park West Rd. in Vernon, turned herself in on an active arrest warrant and was processed and released. McCauley was charged with two counts of sixth degree larceny for an incident that took place at in Ellington. 

A 69-year-old South Windsor woman was attempting to obtain gas at the located at the five corners intersection in Ellington. She attempted to back her vehicle into a spot near the gas pump and subsequently struck a gas pump. The force of the collision removed the gas pump from the island and . No injuries were reported during this incident and there was property damage only during this incident.
