Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: Dec. 7-Dec. 13

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police, are accurate as of Dec. 14, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

Dec. 7

On Dec. 6, troopers were called to a residence in the town of Somers for the report of a domestic incident. Upon arrival, the female party was met with but the male party was unable to be located and spoken to. This case is currently under investigation and an arrest warrant has been drawn up and is currently awaiting review.

Vanessa S. Hooper, 29, and James Hooper, 32, both of 73 Mountain St. in Ellington, were both arrested after troopers investigated a report of a physical assault/domestic abuse incident. Vanessa Hooper was charged with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor. James Hooper was charged with disorderly conduct. The case is under investigation.

Dec. 12

Larry R. Morgan, 63, of Somers, was arrested for DWI after failing field sobriety tests after a motor vehicle accident. A 42-year-old Somers woman was traveling southbound Sokol Road in Somers and Morgan was stopped to make a left hand turn into a driveway. Morgan then turned into the path of the woman. The woman was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
