Norman and Holly Holland were employees at the University of Connecticut and had each worked for there for more than a decade, according to University President Susan Herbst, in a quote from the Hartford Courant.

"They were regarded by their colleagues in facilities operations and building services as wonderful people and outstanding employees who always went above and beyond for our students, and our university," Herbst said in a message to staff and students, which the Courant quotes.

She said that the university's counseling services will be available for facilities operations employees.
