The Ellington/Somers Football Knights will be hosting Cromwell High this Saturday the 28th at 1:30 pm at Ellington High School. This game is a pivotal Pequot League contest with both teams sporting 1 win and one loss this season. The Knights are led by senior Quarterback Joe Leslie and running back Christian Schneider on offense while Big Ben Bahler anchors the Knights defense.
This week the knights will host CPTV Sports and the game will be streamed live and taped for future television airing. Because this is such a big game the knights are encouraging all fans to show their spirit and a prize will be awarded to THE BIGGEST KNIGHT FAN at this game. So come to the game, paint your face, dress as a knight or show your team loyalty in some other fashion. The winner will be chosen by applause at half time. As usual the Knights will be supported on the field by the Ellington Fire Department and this week we will celebrate the return of the touchdown cannon. All knights games feature a variety of refreshments and it is a great experience for the entire family. The weather looks great and the parachuters will be in action and visible from the field and do not forget to get your FINGER.
