Ellington-Somers Patch Turns Two

Today is Ellington-Somers Patch's second birthday!

Can you believe it's already been a two years since Ellington-Somers Patch first popped onto the local news scene (we sure can't)?

But it's true! Today is two years from the day that Ellington-Somers Patch first launched on Dec. 9, 2010!

And what a first couple of years it's been! From the devastating fires at the Somers Congregational Church and the Somersville Mill to the inspiring story of a local hero, and all things in between, Ellington-Somers Patch has been on the scene to cover just about any and every local story impacting the Ellington and Somers communities as it happens. Heck, we even covered a few earthquakes over the past couple of years.

Along the way, we've amassed more than 900 Facebook friends, more than 400 Twitter followers, and well-wishes wherever we seem to go in town. And that's not even counting Patch 2.0, which will be unveiled later this month to make the site an even more interactive and engaging experience for our users!

Here's to many more years of Ellington-Somers Patch serving the local community and thanks for all the support and love you have shown us!
