Dazzylz Boutique Offering Unique Gifts for Girls

The online boutique is run by Somers residents and offers a free pick up option for locals.

If your child needs the perfect special outfit or accessory, Dazzylz Boutique is the place to go.

Opened in September 2012 by Jennifer Lyons and her husband, Sean, the boutique offers tutu dresses and skirts, hair accessories, embroidered clothing (including applique and custom designs), embroidered tote bags and market totes, and cheer bows.

Lyons, who still works in the information technology field while the business grows, is a lifelong Somers resident who has three children. She said that she always found it hard to find the perfect gift or accessory in the big box stores in our area.

“When I started making handmade items for my kids, I discovered how much fun I was having and found it relaxing,” she said. “Opening my own boutique just seemed like a natural progression for me.”

One of the great things about the boutique is that it accepts and encourages custom orders.

“If your child has a dress or an outfit and you need that perfect accessory, bring it to us and we will create something perfect to match that outfit,” she said.

She added that their slogan is “Unique Gifts for Girls.”

“We want our products to stand out, to be original and for our customers to think of us when they want something special,” she said.

The focus of the boutique is on products for girls and women, but Lyons hopes to be offering some exciting new products for boys this summer.

Lyons said that one of her favorite products is the flower girl/special occasion tutu dress - which can be made in any color or style. She added that photographers often purchase the products for use as props during their photo shoots.

In addition, many brides purchase the personalized/embroidered tote bags as bridal party gifts.

“I personally use our embroidered tote bags for just about everything – shopping, daily use, vacationing and going to the beach,” she said.

In the next few weeks, the boutique will be offering children's clothing items and will also be launching a new and improved Web site very soon.

The boutique is online, but there is a free pickup option for the local customers who don’t mind traveling to Somers. For those who can’t, or don’t want to, pick up the items, they can be shipped anywhere in the world.

When she’s not working, Lyons enjoys spending time with her children and husband. She also loves to read and travel.
