Taking the Sandy Hook Promise [Photos]

This morning, some of the families of the children and educators who were killed in the Dec. 14 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting joined together to seek to effect change locally, nationally and globally. What can you do locally?

Sandy Hook Promise took their message to the public on Jan. 14, 2013 — one month to the day from the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School that claimed the life of 20 children and six educators and served as the catalyst for the organization.

Formerly known as Newtown United, the group is dedicated to common-sense changes that will prevent another tragedy from ever happening again.

What can you do locally in Ellington and Somers to keep the Sandy Hook Promise message alive? Or do you think there is anything that can be done to help prevent future tragedies?
