Pet Parade Brings Out Pooches in Their Halloween Finery
The Ellington Farmers' Market impressed once again.
A Halloween Pet Parade and Contest sponsored by the Ellington Farmers' Market attracted a variety of dogs and their owners on Saturday morning.
was a festive sight, with costumed canines of all sizes, and even a bright orange goat!
First Selectman Maurice Blanchette was on hand to award prizes for Best Pet Costume and Best Owner/Pet Costume Combination. Best Pet Costume went to Hannah, a Neapolitan Mastiff who was dressed as a scuba diver and owned by Billy and Ashley Pillard. Best Pet/Owner Combo went to Andrew Clark and his German Shepherd Shadow, who were dressed a soccer player and a referee.
