According to Wolvovsky, the center has been doing the Chanukah celebration - with the recent addition of a new, large Menorah - in Ellington for the past seven years.

Wolvovsky said that while the center is headquartered in Glastonbury, the Chabad Jewish Center covers all east of the river towns.

“Throughout the year, we hold classes and events in various locations,” he said. “Specifically, we have many contacts in the Ellington area. Either myself or one of our volunteers spend one day a week in town. Also, several local families attend our programs in Glastonbury.”
