Rollins College's Co-Valedictorians from Somers are Double Whizzes

Somers, Connecticut residents and identical twins Justine and Lauryn Falcone were named co-valedictorians at a recent graduation ceremony at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. Both will be starting medical school in the fall and are accomplished athletes on Rollins’ cross country teams. Interestingly, Justine and Lauryn were also co-valedictorians of their high school class. Justine Falcone ’13 Four years ago, Justine Falcone ’13 was co-valedictorian with her identical twin sister Lauryn at their high school graduation in Somers, Connecticut. Since then, she has spent her college career in the lab as a biology major and on the track as a member of Rollins’ cross country team, all while maintaining a 4.0-grade-point-average. Additionally, she has served on the executive board of J.U.M.P. and traveled to Ghana on a service trip last summer. In the fall, she will be starting medical school, most likely at the University of Florida, to pursue a career in primary care. Lauryn Falcone ’13 Lauryn, a competitive runner since fifth grade, is the first student-athlete at Rollins to qualify for the NCAA National Cross Country Championship race and be presented with the NCAA Elite 89 Award . Like her sister, she also pursued a degree in biology, served on the executive board of J.U.M.P., and traveled to Ghana on a service trip last summer. She will begin medical school in the fall at West Virginia University's MD/PhD dual degree program on a full scholarship. For more information, visit www.rollins.edu
