Scarecrows and Autumn Harvest at the Ellington Farmers' Market

Scarecrows will be on display under the big gazebo this Saturday from 9 AM to noon as harvest season swings into action at Ellington Farmers' Market! Vote for your favorite scarecrow; the winners receive gift certificates to spend at any vendor booth. Last year's entries were creative and fun, so be sure to participate in this great autumn event. Music will be provided by our market favorite, Sheryl Stanton, as you try to decide which scary or beautiful scarecrow will frighten critters away from the garden. Guest vendors include Sunshine and Flowers by Goldie, and Jennifer Corriveau and her beautiful jewelry. Why not invite a friend who has not experienced what we have to offer. Let's hope the day is crisp and cool with abundant blue skies as autumn leaves begin to show their gorgeous display of color. There are only four market days left in the season, so don't be caught unprepared...grab your baskets and reuseable bags to bring home fresh, local food and products that are made and grown by your own friends and neighbors.
