"Ellington has a new guardian angel."
That's what Leah McCarthy sent out on Twitter after learning of the tragic passing of Ellington's Austin Tautkus.
Ellington Police Sgt. Patrick Sweeney confirmed that the 19-year-old passed away after an accident in Suffield and said the Suffield Police Department is investigating the matter.
A Suffield police dispatcher confirmed that an accident involving an ATV occurred but could not provide more details. Suffield Police Chief Michael Manzi was not immediately available for comment.
Austin was active in the football community in town and accepted into WestConn. His friends took to Twitter to share messages of support:
