Somers Elementary School is where students in Somers begin their schooling. Since the school is in a building…More that used to be an old high school, the students have things available to them, like a full auditorium with a stage, that are not normally found at an elementary school. The school also has two mobile laptop labs, three stationary computer labs containing laptops and a gymnasium.</p> <p>There is a lot of interaction between the students at the school and the local community. The school also has a sister school in China. The students have built a Chinese garden in the courtyard of the school and use it to learn in a hands-on manner.</p>
