"Scott, apparently you are not aware of the rules of evidence, anything Tamerlan Tssarnaev says…Read More to the authorities, can and will be used against him in a court of law" everything after his name is in Miranda rights, which were not read to him BEFORE he admitted guilt. Without having been read his rights anything he says prior to that is inadmissible in a civil courtroom, military yea, but not in civilian court. So no, not everything he has said can or will be used against him in a court of law; unless of course he pleads guilty and there is no trial, which is far more likely given the way this is going. After that you are about correct in how he will be treated, a king by the Muslim community.

I am seeing a disturbing pattern of radical Muslim violence across the globe against innocent people…Read More of other faiths, and even folks of their own faith. Maybe the government should put a moratorium on accepting immigrants and refugees from Muslim-majority countries or countries having a sizable Muslim population, especially those which are current hot spots of conflict (Somalia, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Nigeria, Egypt, Pakistan, etc.). This moratorium should last at least a generation or two, for the time it takes to purge radical elements from their society, and to bring their mentality and culture back into the civilized world. And our government should withhold all forms of aid, especially financial and military, to those aforementioned countries, until they get serious with stamping out and eradicating Islamists and Islamism.

Absolutely! I miss the days when the Patch did what it does best, and that is report local news that…Read More matters to local residents. The Patch will never do a better job of reporting state and national news than the established media. It shouldn't try to be Huffington Post lite. Please, Patch, please return to your hyper local roots.

The parents more than likely had no idea that they snuck out and met each other and went for a joy…Read More ride , as a young teenager this is common although I did not take a car I have done it myself meeting with friends late at night my parents had no idea ,45 years ago so nothing has changed . It's impossible for parents to control there children at all times, all you can do is hope they make sensible decision s , which for teen agers is sometimes hard.

These children were 14 to 15 year olds who do not drive, the driver had only a "permit".…Read More The real question here is what kind of parents would allow their freshman sons and daughters to be out roaming the streets at 3:00 AM? Shame on you! At that hour of the night, they should have been home tucked in bed. Trouble is all they will find at that time in the AM. Makes me sick! Parents ... please parent your children!

So sad! My Grandparents moved into Somers in 1920... I was baptised, went through my Sunday school…Read More and Pilgrim Fellowship years, then married in this church. My parents were very active in the Men's and Women's clubs, to the point my Mom was President of the Women's Club. Rev. Heaps was my pastor and Rev. Cass officiated at my Dad's funeral. I have a picture of our Pre-school class sitting on the steps of the old parsonage (1944-45). I have sent emails to the friends of those "growing up" days,(who I have in my address book) to let them know of our loss. Condolences to the current fellowship of paritioners and Rev. Cass, may the church rise again. Sandra Smith Thorne, WIlbraham, MA
