Law Enforcment Officials Play Ball for Good Cause

Officers from Windsor and the Osborn Correctional Institution in Somers competed Sunday in Fourth Annual Law Enforcement Basketball Tournament.

Under normal circumstances police departments, correctional officers and fire departments should come together in the spirit of cooperation but during the Fourth Annual York Correctional Institution Basketball Tournament, it's every department for itself.

"It get's pretty intense, I like it," said Marc Dube, a volunteer for the tournament.

The ten-team, single-elimination tournament pits first responders against and each other. Each team pays to participate in the tournament and all the proceeds, about $4,000 in total Sunday, go to the Special Olympics.
