Two Themes at Ellington Farmers' Market

"Farming Through the Years" and a Holistic Health Fair will be going on at this weekend's market.

On Saturday at the , two programs will be taking place - "Farming Through the Years" and a Holistic Health fair.

The is bringing farming artifacts from its vast collection and will have them on display. Members will be available to provide information and a historical perspective on this important aspect of Ellington's history. 

Duanne McDuffy is bringing items from his private collection including an antique tractor and will be showing the progress of farming with water pumps starting from a hand pump to a pump operated by a small engine, progressing to an electric pump.

Children are welcome to sit on the antique tractors and operate the hand water pump to learn about farming from years past.

Also going on will be a Holistic Health Fair - rescheduled from a rainout. It features ZumbAtomics (for kids) at 9:15 a.m. by the , and a sound meditation at 10:30 a.m. by The Conduit Center. 

Visitors can get a reiki treatment, a short massage, and can learn about The Alexander Technique and reflexology.
