Tri-Town Boys Ice Hockey Beats Rocky Hill 7-1

The team, made of up Ellington, Somers and East Windsor students, kick off the season with a bang.

The Tri-Town boys ice hockey kicked off the 2013-14 season this with a 7-1 victory over Rocky Hill Saturday night at the Enfield Twin Rinks.

Tri-Town is a co-operative program in the North Central Connecticut Conference, made up of students from the towns of Somers, Ellington and East Windsor.

New head coach Jesse Peters has helped kick start the team with a strong start to the season.

Seniors Connor Wyllie scored two goals and made four assists and Nick Violette scored two goals and made one assist.

Seniors Rudy O'Konis, Ryan Gaidos, and Jason Skorulski eached scored trhee goals as well, helping Tri-Town edge past Rocky Hill.

Defensively, Tri-Town's Tommy Burgess and goal tender Alex Bleisener proved to be an obstacle.

Tri-Town plays Enfield Fermi on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 3:50 p.m. at the Enfield Twin Rinks.
