The gloves were sold at Wal-Mart and Target.

About 131,000 baseball gloves are being recalled after a variety of molds were found on them.

The Department of Consumer Protection announced that about 131,000 Mizuno USA, Inc. baseball and softball gloves are being recalled because of the mold. The molds could “cause respiratory or other infections in individuals with chronic health problems, or in individuals who have impaired immune systems” said the department.

The gloves were sold at Wal-Mart and Target stores nationwide from April 2010 through May for between $24 and $60.

The department urges consumers should stop using the gloves immediately and contact Mizuno USA to receive a refund. For additional information, contact Mizuno USA Inc. at (800) 451-7913 between 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
