SVP Announces Pied Piper Productions 2013 Show

The Somers Village Players are very excited to announce PIED PIPER PRODUCTIONS, a new children’s theatre venue for 2013!  This new program will be led by stage veterans, Kathy Welch and Wendy Peterson, members of the SVP Community Theatre organization.

Pied Piper Productions will be a summer program that compliments the already established spring and fall productions offered by the SVP.  This program will be different from the past children’s theatre program in that it is not a class-driven workshop but rather a fully licensed production.

Pied Piper Productions' choice for their first production is “Seussical.” This is a charming show written by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and is based on the works of Dr. Seuss. This family-friendly musical was a huge success on Broadway and on many national and international tours. The show will be performed in outdoor theatre-in-the-round venue at Worthington Pond Farm in August with a cast made up of adults, college students, teens and children.

An Information Night will be held Friday, June 7 at 7:00 PM at Millpond Playhouse, 55 School Street in Somersville, CT.  Wendy and Kathy will explain what the program is all about and answer any questions you might have.

Auditions will be held June 23, 2013, with rehearsals and tech work done in July and the performances in August.  Additional information can be found on the SVP  website, http://www.somersvillageplayers.org/
