Lawmakers Hold Town Hall Meeting in Ellington

The Town Hall Meeting with legislators was a success.

Hartford, CT - State Senator Tony Guglielmo (R-35th) and State Representative Christopher Davis (R-57) recently held a Town Hall Meeting on January 15th.

Rep. Davis, currently serving his second term in the State Legislature, encouraged his constituents to attend meetings.

"With the new legislative session beginning on the 9th, it's important to make sure everyone in our community is well informed and up-to-date on the issues facing our state," said Rep. Davis."These meetings are a great opportunity to discuss what has been happening at the Capitol, and I encourage anyone who may have any questions or concerns relating to state government, to come down so we can discuss it."

Sen. Guglielmo added, "We have some major issues to tackle this session including: a $2 billion budget deficit, school safety, mental health accessibility and protection of the 2nd amendment. I hope everyone will come out and join us to discuss these very important issues."

The event was free and open to the public.

Rep. Davis represents the 57th district covering East Windsor & Ellington.

Sen. Guglielmo represents the 35th district covering the towns of Ellington, Vernon,Tolland, Coventry, Stafford, Willington, Ashford, Union, Eastford, Chaplin,
Hampton, Pomfret, Woodstock.
