Spartans Tough-Luck Losers

The Somers High School baseball team fell 1-0 to Windsor Locks in its final regular season game.

The baseball team fell 1-0 to host Windsor Locks on Thursday.

A sacrifice fly by Chuck Vogt gave Windsor Locks (16-4) all it would need.

Vogt was also the winning pitcher, throwing a complete game four-hitter. He walked one batter and struck out 11.

Jake Scheuer picked up the loss in his complete game effort. He allowed no earned runs, five hits, and one walk. He struck out three.

Scheuer and Jake Alvaro each had two hits for Somers (12-8).
