Spartans Take Down Windsor

After a loss earlier in the week, the Somers boys' lacrosse team got back in the win column.

The boys' lacrosse team got back to its winning ways with a 15-1 victory on Thursday in Windsor.  

The Spartans led 10-0 at halftime.

Freshman Ray McCarthy had four goals and one assist to lead Somers. Cullen Roberts had two goals and two assists, and Matt Thresher and Eddie Hill each had two goals.

Jake Alvaro, Kevin Murdoch, Kyle Foster, Brian McDuffee, and Cody Roy all scored for the Spartans.

For Windsor, Robby Zowalski scored the lone goal.

Chris Hamilton and Sean Tynan each had two assists. Jason Kim also played well for Somers. Joey Mafilioni had seven saves for Windsor.

Somers (9-3) will now play a big game at home Friday against Suffield. Windsor (0-12) plays at Rockville the same day.
