"Our defense continues to be strong, only giving up two goals in two games," Somers coach Ken McCarthy said. "I am also pleased with the way the offense is progressing. We were patient and spread out our scoring against a tough Tolland zone defense. The Tolland kids played hard and made us work for all of our scores."

Somers is 2-0 while Tolland is 0-1. Somers plays in Ellington on Wednesday.
