Somers Softball On a Roll

The Spartans improved to 12-1 on the season with a victory over Enfield on Monday.

The softball team defeated host 8-1 on Monday.

Samantha Urbon pitched a complete game for Somers, allowing one run, three hits and one walk. She struck out 12.

Somers got on board and never looked back with a 5-run third inning.

At the plate for Somers, Shelby LaDue went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three stolen bases. Danielle Chokas also went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Kylen O'Hearn added two hits and had three stolen bases and two runs scored.

For Enfield (3-10), Nicole Meunier scored the only run in the first inning off of a double from Katie Levasseur. Lavasseur had two hits in the game.

Somers improves to 12-1 and travels to Ellington on Tuesday.
