Somers Resident Honored at Western New England University

Jeffrey Gladu was honored as the Outstanding Graduate Student within the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program.

Jeffrey L. Gladu of Somers, was honored as the Outstanding Graduate Student within the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program at Western New England University. The University recognized top graduate students during its Master's Degrees Celebration held August 25.

Gladu is a transducer design engineer at Trans-Tek, Inc., a manufacturer of displacement and velocity transducers, in Ellington. Along with his recently completed master's degree from Western New England University, Gladu holds a bachelor's degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a six-sigma green belt certification from the University of Michigan.

Western New England University is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919. Located on an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England serves 3,700 students, including 2,550 full-time undergraduate students. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs are offered through Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Pharmacy and the School of Law.
