Somers Rallies for a Win

The boys' lacrosse team trailed after the first quarter, but took a lead into the half and never looked back.

The boys' lacrosse team remained undefeated on Tuesday with a 14-7 victory over visiting Morgan-Clinton.

Somers was down 4-3 at the end of the first quarter but rallied for a two-goal advantage (7-5) at half time. The second half was all Somers and the Spartans cruised to the 14-7 victory.

Johnny Albert led the way with four goals, and Ray McCarthy added three goals. Alex Geas had two goals and two assists and Sean Tynan and Tyler Russell each had two goals and one assist.

Cullen Roberts added a goal and three assists, and Ryan Lynch tallied three assists in the win.

Pat Tynan had 13 saves for the Spartans.

Morgan is now 3-2 on the season.

Somers (5-0) travels to Suffield on Friday for a 7 p.m. game.
