Somers High School Drama Club Makes Donation to School

The club recently donated a shed to the school and it will be used to house the club's equipment and props.

Come the beginning of the next school year, students will notice a new shed on the grounds of .

The drama club at the school has recently donated a shed that will be used by the club for storage of its flats, platforms, stair units, advertising signs, props, and more.

It will be placed behind the school next to the other shed that is already on the grounds.

The shed is a pre-built unit that was made by Kloter Farms. Despite the , the outdoor business was not affected so customers who purchased sheds and other outdoor products will still receive them.

The funding for this project came from money saved by the drama club from box office receipts and other fundraising efforts over the past two years.

The value of this project is $16,750 which includes the shed, professional site preparation, and the delivery and erection of the unit – all of which are provided by Kloter Farms.

The club worked closely with Principal Gary Cotzin and Maintenance Supervisor Jim MacFeat on this project and the necessary building permit has been approved and issued by the Town of Somers.
