Somers Field Hockey Wins Thriller
With only a little time left in overtime, Samantha Gay netted the winner for the Spartans.
The field hockey team picked up second win of the season with a 1-0 overtime win against visiting Canton.
The goal was scored for the Spartans by Samantha Gay - assisted by Kayla Renaud - with 1:47 left in overtime.
"Great team effort by Somers," said Somers coach Amy Cunningham. "The team was aggressive and hungry for the win from the start of the game. (It was) a well played game by both teams."

Somers goalkeeper Jenna Jablonski made 10 saves and Canton (1-4) keeper Kayla Fournier made 8 saves.
Somers (2-4) hosts Windsor on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
