Somers Field Hockey Blanks Maloney

The Spartans had a balanced scoring day.

The Somers High School field hockey team defeated visiting Maloney 7-0 on Monday afternoon.

Somers led 4-0 at the half.

Katie Fawthrop and Kayla Renaud each scored two goals. Sam Gay, Emma Panto, and Kristen Steidler also scored for the Spartans.

Kaitlin Gagne, Kim Cisco, and Hannah Collins had assists in the win.

Jenna Jablonski made two saves for Somers and Olivia Lefolt made 17 for Maloney (1-10).

Somers (5-7) travels to Canton on Tuesday.
