Somers Baseball Ousted From State Tournament

The Spartans were defeated 4-1 by Lyman Memorial on Tuesday.

The baseball team fell 4-1 to No. 7 Lyman Memorial in the first round of the Class S state tournament.

Nate Czelazewicz was outdueled by Keith Chamberlain on the mound and Lyman Memorial got a couple of big hits with runners in scoring position. The Spartans also left nine men on base.

Both teams flashed the leather the whole game, and neither team committed an error.

For No. 26 Somers Tom Conlon and Kyle Sullivan had two hits each, and Brian Rossini had a RBI single.

Somers finishes the season at 8-13. Lyman Memorial improves to 15-6.
