Mike Hanna a Clutch Performer for Tri-Town

The senior forward has scored several big goals for the hockey team.

Whenever the Tri-Town hockey team needs a big goal, it can look to Mike Hanna.

Hanna, a senior forward, has been a key to Tri-Town’s 10-3 season so far.

“When Mike joined us we knew we had a gem and an offensive gem at that,” coach Paul Dowe said. “ Mike from day one has continually scored big goal for us after big goal. He has a great ability to find the net and he even has a better ability to take over a game when he wants to.”

“This year especially has been great to watch him play because he really has become an all around player and it goes to show because at times he is the one carrying our team,” he said.

According to Dowe, Hanna is someone the other players look up to.

“When he speaks in the locker room the other boys listen, when he leads on the ice other boys follow, and when Mike is having a great game it seems many other players find a way to have a great game,” he said.

Not only is Hanna a good hockey player, but he is a good person, student, and lacrosse player as well.

“Getting the chance to watch Mike these years has been an absolute pleasure,” Dowe said. “Mike is a fantastic young man never short of having a smile on his face.  He is a great student-athlete who be playing collegiate lacrosse next year. I will greatly miss him not being able to play with us next winter.”
