Local Residents Named to Dean's List at Saint Michael's College

Several students from Ellington and Somers were recognized for academic achievement.

The following local residents were named to the Spring 2012 Dean's List at Saint Michael's College, a liberal arts, residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vermont, one of the top 10 college towns in America:

Erica Begin, daughter of Anita and Marc Begin of Ellington, a May graduate English & Religious Studies major, who graduated from before coming to Saint Michael's.

Miles Gasek, son of Bernadette and David Gasek of Somers, a May graduate Music & English major, who graduated from East Catholic High School before coming to Saint Michael's.

Taylor Mills, daughter of Ann LaPoint-Mills and James Mills of Ellington, a junior Elementary Education & Spanish major, who graduated from Ellington High School before coming to Saint Michael's.

Hanna Tyser, daughter of Deborah and Michael Tyser of Somers, a sophomore Art & Art Education major, who graduated from before coming to Saint Michael's.

Mary Waters, daughter of David and Kathleen Waters of Somers, a junior Philosophy & Spanish major, who graduated from Somers High School before coming to Saint Michael's.

Students who complete a minimum of 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 at the end of a semester are recognized for their scholarship by inclusion on the Dean's List.
