Ellington Resident Graduates from Goodwin College Nursing Program

Kristie Frey was one of 43 graduates pinned during the milestone evening.

On Thursday, Dec. 13, Kristie Frey joined a proud group of alumni who have graduated from the distinigushed Goodwin College Nursing Associates Degree Program.

Frey, of Ellington, was one of 43 students pinned as a nurse during a moving ceremony held at the College. Frey was part of the cohort that helped set a milestone for the College, whixh surpassed 1,000 total graduates since the program was established in 2004.

"Tonight you're crossing over to become part of the Goodwin tradition," said Maria Ellis, Chair of Goodwin College Board of Trustees and a practicing OBGYN. "We're very, very proud of you."

The Associate Degree in Nursing program is one of the most challenging and competitive majors offered at the College. Students undertake a rigorous cuuriculum inside and outside the classroom, complete with clinical assignments in hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
