Ellington students will be going home early today, Dec. 17, due to the oncoming snowstorm.
"There will be an early dismissal today with no afternoon kindergarten and no after school activities," the school district announced on its website.
Forecasts are calling for 3 to 5 inches of snow for Ellington and Somers and a group of Northern Connecticut towns.
There is no word yet on whether school may be dismissed early in Somers.
