Basketball Teams Headed to State Tournament
Both the Ellington and Somers girls' basketball teams earned post season berths this year.
After successful regular seasons, both the and girls' basketball teams are headed to the post season.
In Class M, No. 3 Ellington will host No. 30 Weston (8-12) on Monday. The Knights finished the regular season 18-2.
In Class S, No. 26 Somers will travel to No. 7 Windham Tech (15-5) on Tuesday. The Spartans finished the regular season 9-11.

Somers has not made the tournament the last two seasons, going 6-14 both years.
Coach Alan Walker says that he is in the process of working on scouting Windham Tech.
