Voting in Ellington and Somers: What You Need to Know

Vote on presidential and state elections on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012. Do you have all of the information you need to vote in Ellington and Somers?

Voters will be casting ballots on a number of races, both on the federal and state level. To learn more about the candidates, check out Ellington-Somers Patch's election guide.

The polls will be open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and identification is required. A drivers license, passport, state issued identification or a work ID with name and signature or picture and name will work.

Residents in District 1 in Ellington will vote at Ellington High School, while voters from District 2 will go to Crystal Lake School.

All Somers residents will go to the town hall. There will be 'one-way' vehicle traffic into the town hall parking area (on the west side of the building) and exiting will be through Kibbe Drive.

State Police will be stationed on Main Street to assist in traffic flow in Front of the town hall driveway and Kibbe Drive.

A shuttle will be available to bring citizens to the town hall from the Senior Center parking lot, beginning at 6 a.m. and ending at 7:30 p.m.
