Somers Town Clerk Appointed as Veterans Services Contact
Town Clerk Ann Marie Logan is the new contact person effective Oct. 1.

Town Clerk Ann Marie Logan will serve as the Town of Somers new Veterans’ Services Contact Person.
The Board of Selectmen unanimously appointed Ann to the position at its recent Board of Selectmen Meeting. Under Public Act No. 13-34 “AN ACT REQUIRING CITIES AND TOWNS TO DESIGNATE A VETERANS’ SERVICE CONTACT PERSON”, effective October 1, 2013, cities and towns without an advisory committee or services officer for veterans are required to appoint a veterans’ contact person.
Ann has been Town Clerk for 26 years and is very familiar with various governmental agencies and civic organizations which support veterans. She looks forward to working closely with the newly revived local American Legion.
The Board congratulates Ann on the appointment and will support her in this role as part of a new statewide team of veteran advocates. She will be attending training provided by the CT Department of Veterans Affairs in the near future.
