Name: Shirley E. Warner

Education: University of Connecticut  

Government and/or other experience qualifying you for office: Shirley has been a member of the Library Board for over 20 years, and is the current chairperson. She was also a member of the building committee for the library expansion project, and wrote the application securing a $145,000 capital improvement grant for the construction.

A UConn graduate, Shirley has lived in Somers over 30 years. She served on a variety of town committees and is an active member of the Village Players.

Family: Married to Diane, four children

Government and/or other experience qualifying you for office: Bob joined the Library Board after assisting the Building Committee in the expansion and renovation of the library. He has been a great source of help to the Library Director in managing the mechanical systems and maintenance issues of the building. A long time resident, Bob attended Somers schools. In college he majored in business and with an emphasis in engineering. He and his wife, Diane, are the parents of four children. The youngest is at Somers High, and the older three attend college.
