Ellington Fire Dept Fill the Boot Drive for Greg Caron Family Fund

The Ellington Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. is holding a fill the boot drive this Saturday, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Main Street to benefit the Greg Caron Family Fund.

This fundraiser will be to benefit the Greg Caron Family Fund, which supports the family of Ellington Marine Greg Caron, who, while serving his second tour, lost both of his legs, a finger, received shrapnel to the right side of his body, and a broken collar bone from an IED in Afghanistan. He was transported to Germany where the initial surgery was performed; and he is now recovering in Bethesda, MD and is expected to be there for at least the next 6 months.

will be asking passing motorists to please donate to this worthy cause during the event. One hundred percent of all donations collected will be forwarded to the fund.
