Truck Crashes Into House in Ellington

A Broad Brook man lost control of his pickup truck on Monday evening and crashed into a home on West Road.

The breezeway at a home on West Rd. in Ellington became a little breezier on Monday evening after a truck crashed into the home.

Philip Godeck, 45, of 20 Lindsay Ln., Broad Brook, lost control of his Ford F250 pickup truck at approximately 6:30 p.m. and hit the house at 98 West Rd.

He was traveling north on West Road when he lost control of the vehicle, then traveling across the southbound travel lane and onto the property, where he struck the house.

Godeck fled the scene with his vehicle but was apprehended a short time after. He was seen by Ellington Ambulance but refused medical treatment.

No other injuries were reported during this incident.
