Mansfield

Jan. 10

Troop C is investigating a residential burglary that took place on Friday between 1 and 4:40 p.m., on Warrenville Road, state police said. The crime involved a forced entry and several items were taken from the home, state police said.

Jan. 11 

John Desantis, 35, of 87 Brookside Lane, Mansfield, was charged with disorderly conduct at 2:17 p.m., state police said. 

It was the result of a domestic incident, state police said. 

Jan. 12

At 12:57 a.m., Jason Hansen, 27, of 456 Tolland Turnpike, Willington, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane, state police said. 

He was observed driving erratically along Moulton Road, state police said.
  


Troop C has charged an Ashford man with two crimes in relation to a June sexual assault complaint out of Mansfield involving a 14-year-old girl, according to an arrest report. 

Nathan Kehoe, 18, on Sunday was charged with risk of injury to a child and second-degree sexual assault involving consent and no force - statutory rape, according to an arrest report. He lives at 94 Krapf Rd. in Ashford, police said. 

He was to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Monday, according to an arrest report. 

The report indicates that, on June 17 at 11:04 p.m., troopers were dispatched to a residence on Stafford Road in Mansfield for a reported sexual assault. 
Troopers investigated the matter and determined there was probable cause to arrest Kehoe for having consensual sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl, according to an arrest report. 

A warrant was then applied for at Rockville Superior Court, police said. 

Kehoe surrendered at Troop C on Sunday at 3:50 p.m., according to an arrest report. 

Tolland

Jan. 10

Stepanie Roberts, 27, of 12 Hudson St., Manchester, surrendered to state police at 6:54 p.m. to face charges involving a license/registration violation and operating a hand-held electronic device while driving, state police said. 

Jan. 12

Joseph Collett, 24, of 56 Jean Rd., Manchester, was charged with disorderly conduct after an incident at the Norwegian Wood housing complex, state police said. 

The disturbance took place at 1:19 a.m., state police said. 

Stafford 

Jan. 10

Mark Ference, 32, of 31 Buckley Highway, Stafford, was charged with breach of peace and threatening at 4:58 p.m., state police said. 

Troopers were alerted to a threatening incident between two men on West Stafford Road, according to a police report. Ference was charged after an investigation, state police said. 

Willington

Jan. 10

State police are investigating a burglary in Village Hill Road in which several pieces of jewelry and and "miscellaneous paperwork" were stolen from a home. 

A door frame was damaged during the crime, but no one was injured, state police said.

Ashford

Jan. 10 

A attempted burglary took place art a Bebbington Road house, state police said. An exterior door was damaged but nothing was taken, state police said.  
Witnesses can call state police at 860-896-3200. 

Somers

Jan. 11

State police are investigating an incident at Osborn Correctional Institution in which one inmate allegedly struck another "while being let out for chow," state police said. 

The victim sustained a minor injury near the right eye, state police said. 

Ellington

Jan. 11

Troopers were dispatched to West Road at 3:59 p.m. for an evading accident, state police said. No injuries were reported, state police said. 

A witness identified a vehicle that left the scene and charged for evading responsibility were levied against Dale Avery, 55, of 253 Mountain St., state police said.
