Troop C to Receive Troop D Dispatchers in September

The facility provides police services to 10 towns, including Ellington and Somers.

The Tolland barracks will soon receive dispatchers from Danielson’s Troop D as part of a Connecticut State Police consolidation plan.

Come September, dispatchers from Troop D will shift to Troop C, with Troops K and E to follow in the fall, the Norwich Bulletin reports.

State police are consolidating the dispatch function of the troops in an effort to centralize state emergency dispatchers, and put more troopers on patrol, according to the paper.
